Start by cutting a 6x6 piece of chipboard in half making 2 pieces measuring 3x6 for front and back covers of mini book. Cut slightly larger pieces of Confetti Cream cardstock and decorate in a random, collage type style with compass and Venezuela stamps as shown. Use a combination of Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red inks. For piece you will use for front cover, punch holes on upper and lower left hand corners using a hand held 1/8 punch. Set Mellow Moss eyelets as shown. Thread natural hemp twine twice and tie bow. Cut a 1 1/2 x 6 strip of Mellow Moss and score at 1/2 marks from either end for spine. Adhere onto chipboard and cover with decorated cardstock to form front and back covers of book.
For inside pages of book, cut a 6x12 piece of Confetti Cream cardstock and score at 3 intervals and accordion fold. Adhere one end of accordion folded cardstock to inside front cover and other end to the inside back cover. Stamp scrap pieces of Confetti Cream cardstock in a similar fashion as covers and cut two, 2 1/2 squares diagonally to form 4 triangles. Mount triangles to inside corners of pages at opposite ends as shown.
Print verses of a journey quote on strips of vellum and adhere along pages of book using spray adhesive. Print a different quote onto a 2.5x2.5 square of vellum for front of book. Tear edges, run edges along a VersaMark ink pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Mount onto piece of Mellow Moss mulberry paper and adhere to top of front cover. Use journal to record travel notes, sketches and thoughts.
